London Bridge re-creation with Bionic Blox Architecture Toy

While away on vacation this summer we carried a long a small ship-liner like trunk of Bionic Blox, you know just in case the kids build something cool.  Actually, we had over 1000  Bionic Blox from a trade show the prior week.  Well, we arrived in North Carolina and linked up with some friends.  Of course, they asked ‘what do you do?’.  This question naturally evolves to playing with Bionic Blox.  So, we brought them out, left the kids (7 , 10 and 16 years old) for a bit and came back to find … the London Bridge.  The kids looked up a picture of this historic and notable bridge and then the kids built it with the basic Bionic Blox Foundations components.  Remember, Bionic Blox are building elements just like we use in contemporary buildings today (hint, go look at your rafters or a building going up downtown) and are not a “model” kit.  Model kits build one thing and your are done, building and engineering kits allow for open-ended creativity and building forever.

[...] I’m happy that they have not identified a way to take the average person craftsmen from the architectural scale model. That job is just a dream become a reality, and I’m glad it may maybe not be achieved more effectively by machines. I think it will be described as a long time before anyone figures out another solution to do it. It’d be different, if it were a matter of large manufacturing architectural scale models. You could build one design and contain it stamped out by a machine. But each architectural scale model is custom ordered, and so each must certanly be custom made. engineering toys for kids [...]

[...] I am grateful they’ve not identified a way to just take the individual artisans away from the architectural scale model. That work is a dream become a reality, and I’m glad it may not be done more effectively by machines. I think it will be a number of years before anyone understands another way to do it. It would vary, if it were a matter of large production architectural scale models. You could build one design and have it stamped out by a machine. [...] I’m happy they have perhaps not figured out ways to take the individual craftsmen from the architectural scale model. This job is just a dream become a reality, and I am glad it could maybe not be achieved better by machines. I think it’ll be considered a very long time before anyone figures out still another way to do it. If it were a matter of mass production architectural scale models, it would be different. You can build one design and own it stamped out with a device. But each architectural scale model is custom bought, and so each must be custom made. engineering toys for kids [...]
